Memories of Homes
That is me, my dad and brother standing just down the road from the old family homestead sometime in the mid-60s. I loved that old drafty center hall colonial situated on a corner lot. But I can truly say I inherited my love of all homes from the person on the other side of the camera, my mother.
A perfect afternoon to me and mom was driving through our favorite neighborhoods to look at our favorite homes.
I will never forget as a child walking by an abandoned house with my dad and him wondering what tales that house could tell. The thought stuck with me and made looking at houses even more interesting.
Friday I took a some time off to just look at houses on one of my favorite streets in Long Beach. I didn't think about "previewing" for a client, or trying to meet the owner in case they want to sell. I simply enjoyed looking and wondering. Below are the homes I found on Mira Mar Avenue in Belmont Heights.
I am thankful for happy childhood memories, beautiful homes and having the opportunity to share my thoughts with you each week.
Wishing you a wonderful week,
