In Honor of Grandmothers
My mother-in-law has been spending a few days at our house because my father-in-law is out of town and being alone isn't an option any longer. This time together has brought about reflection on our relationship, that is well into its fourth decade. She was always a nice woman but it wasn't until she became a Grammy that she came into full blossom.
The title of of this picture I keep on my refrigerator could be "Waiting for Grammy". My youngest knew that Grammy was arriving that day from Buffalo. She got up early and made herself pretty and waited with patient excitement for her favorite person in the world to arrive. What a special relationship and time.
