Santa Ana Winds are A-Blowing

A Story by Michele Kreinheder | Updated 05/13/2014 10:11am

http://youtu.be/M9VyhmGaF3s These winds are warm, as in extremely warm. And dry! Super super dry. Some call this earthquake weather but I just call it disconcerting. Such a unique southern California phenomenon. I didn't think the video would convey the severity of the winds but I believe it did. Now just imagine the wind being the temperature of a hair blow dryer. If you are prone to allergies or sinus problems this is not a time for you to be out and about. These winds also wreck havoc for pool owners as the skimmers struggle to keep up with the debris that accumulates at the water surface. Santa Ana Winds typically only last for a few days and they do make our usually repetitive (gorgeous) SoCal weather a bit exciting.
