The Japanese Version of the 99 Cent Store Daiso Opens in Los Altos
The Japanese version of the 99 Cent Store is called Daiso and one opened this weekend in Los Altos.
My client told me her pre-teen daughter and friends were wild about the store Diaso. So when the chain opened in the Ralph's Shopping center, between Lakewood and Los Coyotes, I had to head over to check it out. My summation is those young girls know something good when they see it. This store makes you want to shop because everything is so pretty. I bought things I may never use, but I couldn't help myself. I mean everything is just a $1.50, and again, everything is just so pretty!
This is Daiso's 45th store to open in the United States and I am glad they identified the former CVS location next to Ralph's as a good place to open. That retail spot needed something to brighten it up and bit and they couldn't have found anything brighter than this store. Â The walls and lighting are super white and all their merchandise is designed with bright happy colors. I thought is was a household goods store, and in a way it is, but it is so much more. You really have to go, just even for a one time experience. It is shopping taken to a whole new level of fun.
Not sure if I will be rushing back anytime soon, but I can see how it is super attractive to many. Welcome to Los Altos Diaso. We are very happy to have you!
