We are so excited to be hosting our 13th Event, and our 4th Fall Shred Event with the sponsorship and help of Wilson High School’s service organization the Female Leadership Academy. This group keeps growing in size, and more importantly, in confidence with each passing year. The Shred Event has become one of their top fundraising events. Both the girls and I thank you for your always surprisingly generous donations.
Shredding is done on-site by Southern California Shredding, Inc. You can actually see your documents being shredded. It is safe, secure and we strive to make it quick and easy. Don’t worry about removing clips, staples or rubber bands. No magazines, newspapers or X-rays, and please take your boxes or bags back home with you.
E-Waste collection is another way you can help raise funds for the Female Leadership Academy. Bring your old computer, televisions, printers, etc for collection. This service is provide by Omni-Tech out of Los Alamitos.
And lastly, as our personal contribution we use these events to encourage proper dispose of household batteries. Look for collection buckets marked Batteries. These will be taken to the EDCO Hazardous Waste Collection for safe disposal. No fee for this service, but again, your donations are greatly appreciated.
