Learn more about Wrigley
Wrigley is an interesting, but often overlooked, neighborhood located just a few blocks north of Downtown Long Beach. Wrigley runs north of PCH to Wardlow Road and east from Los Angeles River to Long Beach Boulevard. The name comes from its earliest developer William Wrigley, Jr of the Wrigley chewing gum fame. Unlike other homogenous Long Beach tracts that were developed by one builder Wrigley homes were custom built. This explains why Wrigley is a wonderful hodgepodge of designs. There is an eclectic mix of Spanish Colonial Revival, California Bungalow, Tudor, and Mid-century architecture. Wrigley is attractive for its affordability, strong community spirit, and excellent location to both downtown, Bixby Knolls and freeways.
